“Empowerment for Democracy and Active European Citizenship” is a successfully completed project in the prestigious Jean Monnet Programme of the European Union, which specifically aimed at empowering 8-12-year-old children for democratic participation and active citizenship. Innovative, creative teaching methods were jointly developed and tested in practice and – despite the difficult Covid19 conditions – implemented with a lot of fun and lasting effect.
